How to play on a low end pc with outdated graphics card Tips & tricks 2016

If you are having an old Pentium or  Athlon  lying around the house and having a really old dated gpu back from 06,07 then here are easy tips to play few modern games:

1.Clean any dust off the internal components ( graphics card, processor cooler, motherboard etc).

2.If your pc has just 1 or 2 gb ram, install new 2gb/4gb sticks and run them in dual channel mode, this will significantly improve gaming performance.

3.add new thermal paste as the old one would have solidified over the years.

4.Now boot up your os (windows preferable)
    Update your direct x
    search for the latest graphics drivers based on your gpu manufacturer
    list of gpus: Intel HD graphics
                        Nvidia geforce GTX or GT series
                        AMD radeon HD or r7 r9 etc
If you dont know your graphics model then install GPU-Z, which you can download from any site nowadays.
look up the gpu model then install the latest drivers.

5. Defragmenting your hard disk drives/ HDD will boost your performance.

6.use tuning softwares such as Ccleaner to clean up junk files and registry .

7.Install antivirus software and malware tools to if your pc is running slow.

8. Use razer game booster,    a really useful application which reduces system load and frees up
    CPU and ram usage thereby giving room for extra fps in games.

9.Also make sure you set in game settings to DX9, for few games you will need to visit documents and edit the profile.settings to force run it in lower configuration.

10.Overclocking graphics and processor will yield extra fps in games but make sure your cpu cabinet is well ventilated so it doesnt heat up.

11. Visit sites such as gamedebate to check if your system can run the desired game you wanna play.
